Artie Lange Ready For Return Visit On Stern Show

THE MOUTH, MAY 3RD 2012 –– Artie Lange hasn't spoken to Howard Stern since leaving the show in 2009 after his well publicized suicide attempt, but now hopes to do so in November when his book 'Crash and Burn' is released. He told The Philadelphia Enquirer, “I think I’m at the place where I can do it. It would be a heavy thing,” says Lange about a Stern visit. Fans have been waiting for Lange to appear on Stern’s show, Lange, who spent nine years with Stern, is in town to perform his stand-up act at the Tower Theatre with Nick DiPaolo, his radio partner on the DirecTV syndicated “Nick and Artie” talk show which airs locally on 610 WIP. While he and Robin Quivers have spoken since his departure, Stern still isn't comfortable admitting last year that he's reluctant to interview Lange out of fear for his mental health. "You never know with Artie," Stern said then. "Artie appeared to be doing well when he was on heroin... I've been bamboozled like 50 million times by Artie." According to the paper, Lange's been sober since April 14, 2011.

Told Jones "...There Is No Upstairs. We Don't Really Live Here

THE MOUTH, MAY 3RD, 2012 –– Longtime child actor/turned radio host, Danny Bonaduce, recently moved to Seattle where he nandles mornings on KZOK, 102.5 FM. The Seattle Time's Dean Rutz recently caught up with him for an interview to discuss his new home and, of course, to dish on his time with the infamous 'Partridge Family. When asked how long former showmate Q: David Cassidy last in the ring with him, he joked: "I would be surprised if David Cassidy could actually physically climb over the ropes." But did he get along with TV mom Shirley Jones? "Shirley Jones could not have been kinder to me," said Danny. "Although one time she did go a little bit crazy. I think everybody kind of forgot I was 10 years old and expected me to act like a grown-up all the time. One day I was being particularly childish and it obviously made her mad. And she yelled, "Danny!" and then pointed upstairs and said, "Go to your room right now." I had to explain to her: "This is a set. There is no upstairs. We don't really live here. You need to calm down." She had a good laugh, but I think she's still embarrassed. Read Entire Interview Here

Jelli Takes On Elephant In The Room

To Reinvent the Radio Spot; launches the first social advertising platform for terrestrial radio

THE MOUTH, MAY 3RD, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX –– Jelli announced today the release of a revolutionary new advertising platform that combines the reach of terrestrial radio with the engagement and measurement of the social web. "We are reimagining the radio spot, making it more engaging and interactive," said Mike Dougherty, Jelli's CEO. Terrestrial radio is listened to by 241.2 million people weekly in the United States (source:Arbitron), supporting a $17.4 billion advertising market (source:Radio Advertising Bureau). Jelli transforms radio advertising by incorporating the user engagement from Jelli's social platform with terrestrial radio spots served on the air from Jelli's platform. Jelli's advertising platform includes two key elements: Jelli Response™: an advertising unit that enables a terrestrial radio ad spot, served from Jelli's platform, to receive the same real-time social feedback from the audience that a song receives on a Jelli broadcast. Jelli Insights™: a powerful analytics platform which provides agencies and radio buyers insights as to how the audience reacts to each campaign, by demographic and region. With Jelli Response(TM) ads, Jelli's platform serves the radio spot on-air, simultaneously presenting the ad to users who can interact in real-time with it as it plays, via Jelli for iPhone, Jelli for Android and the station's website. A Jelli Insights(TM) report is created, summarizing the engagement data from the radio campaign, including by demographic and region.

Houston Host Michael Berry Won't Be Charged In Hit And Run

THE MOUTH, MAY 2ND, 2012 –– Following lots of local media attention, Houston Talker Michael Berry of KTRH won't be charged with hit-and-run related to a Jan. 31 incident outside a bar. Asst. DA Connie Spence told The Houston Chronicle "All I can tell you is based on the totality of the circumstances, we're not going to file the charge ... We are always looking to do the right thing. And in this particular case, at this point in time, charges will not be filed." Adding to the decision may have been the prosecutor's inability to contact club bouncer Tuderia Bennett who first claimed that Berry hit his car outside TC's Show Bar, said to be a popular gay bar in the Montrose area. As Jockline reported in January, Berry's attorney, Dick DeGuerin, arranged back then for a $2,330 payment to Bennett for damages to the car and the cost of obtaining a rental car. "The DA's office has declined to prosecute. The complainant has signed a release. The case is over with," said DeGuerin. "I don't think it was ever a case. "

WOODY P. SNOW: Says Management Told Him Days Of Local Radio Star Are Over

THE MOUTH, MAY 2ND, 2012 –– As reported in yesterday's Movers/Wakers (see recent news), longtime Springfield, MO morning host Woody P. Snow, exited KGBX after what he tell's Springfield News Leader was his refusal to sign a new contract. According to the paper, after his show last Thursday, Snow says he was called to the manager's and asked to sign a contract. Snow said the contract would have ended the live format of the show. “Personally for me, the joy was in live, organic radio and, yes, sometimes I guess it got too mercurial and we made mistakes but some of the most fun times were in the mistakes,” Snow said. He claims management told him his show was bad and that the days of the local radio star are over." All things aside, Snow said he has no bitterness. “I understand new people want things new ways. Sometimes you get two alpha males together and the old bull’s going to get challenged,” Snow said. Sidekick Janet Layne will remain solo for now with KGBX.

MORE 'WANTED' DISSAGE: Spear's Bouncers Didn't Want Us To Look [AUDIO]

Claims Bieber Gave Siva A Jab To The Jewels

THE MOUTH, MAY 2ND, 2012 –– What's with UK's "The Wanted." Last week they ragged on "The Voice's" Christina Aguilera saying she was a b***ch. Now, in an interview with Dylan on NY's Fresh 102.7 they claim they were asked by Britney Spear's bouncers to turn and face the wall when she was walking through. Until now, the group has had nothing but nice things to say about the pop diva, but yesterday they told Dylan, “We signed a confidentiality thing that we should never say anything about what happened, but let’s tell it anyway,” Tom Parker said. Siva Kaneswaran explained, “I was in the hallway with my tour manager. Basically we were looking with a laptop, trying to get wifi…facing the middle of the hallway. Britney's bouncers came down with her and told us to face the wall ... we were like come on!” Siva said. “We turned around and I faced a wall for about 10 seconds until she got really far away.” Jay McGuinness did want to clarify: "... honestly when we actually met her person to person, she was so down to earth. You can tell she’s a total southern girl and Nathan, when he was a kid, won a singing competition. She was one of the judges or something. And she gave him a kiss, it was one of his first kisses as a kid. So he got to meet her again and support her.” Before the interview was over the guys were also asked about opening for Justin Bieber. Jay “He punched Siva in the b****.” “He gave Siva a jab to the left testicle,” elaborated another member. LISTEN TO AUDIO
