Kimmel Tops Stern, Obama, Romney & PSY On Ask Men's Most Influential List

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 22ND, 2012 –– A new poll by AskMen.com polled more than 500,000 of our readers along with its staff, to determine the Top 49 Most Influential Men of 2012. According to Ask Men, they say "The men who made the list come from different walks of life, but they're all men who are breaking records, reinventing the way we do things and redefining what it means to be a modern man." In its newest poll, Stern ranked well down at #37, but Kimmel rose to the top ten at #6. Stern did edge out Ganghams Style's PSY and Tim Tebow. Other notables included Bill Clinton at #3, Obama #11. It's doubtful Kimmel's placement will damper his relationship with Stern. Both he and his wife Beth recently held an engagement party for the Kimmel's at their Hamptons estate. Oh yes, topping the list, none other than Bond. James Bond. Check FULL LIST HERE

Dial Global's Dennis Miller Is Flying High With Mitt Romney

7

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 22ND, 2012 –– Make no mistake about it, Dial Global’s syndicated host, Dennis Miller, is solidly behind Republican presidential hopeful, Governor Mitt Romney. Aside from giving support on air, he's also been stumping for him on the campaign trail. And apparently it comes with a few perks. Such as flying high aboard Romney's jet along with the Governor himself. Here the two are shown sharing a private moment. We're guessing a few good laughs, too.

106.9 Milwaukee Enable's Bieber Meet For Cancer Patient

7

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 22ND, 2012 –– Stuntologist and longtime Morning Mouth stunts columnist, Paige Nienaber, tells Jockline Daily, "I can name a dozen stations whose collective heads would explode if I suggested taking some meet-and-greets at the last moment and doing something like this." Check it out: Hailey Roser (shown),The 4-year-old Justin Bieber fan from East Troy-diagnosed with a brain tumor in August-was able to meet the 18-year-old pop star at the BMO Harris Bradley Center before his concert Sunday. Roser's parents, Eric and Sabrina, created a social media campaign to encourage Bieber to meet their daughter. Brandon Rowe, brand manager for WNRG-FM/Milwaukee (106.9), found out about the campaign and instead of using meet-and-greet passes the station had received from Bieber's label for promotional giveaways, the station decided to donate them to the Rosers. The family wasn't sure if Hailey, who is undergoing chemotherapy and has had complications, would be well enough to go to the arena, but she was cleared by a doctor Sunday and transported to the arena by ambulance for a private five-minute meeting. During that meeting, Hailey told Bieber she loved him, and in turn he thanked her for the opportunity to meet her, Eric said. "It was just great to see her smile," Eric Roser said. "To give her something good to do finally after being [sick] for two months, it felt so good."

Tom Leykis And Former TV Cop, Kent McCord, Help Nab Mail Thief

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 19TH, 2012 –– Online radio host, Tom Leykis and actor Kent McCord, who some may remember from the popular 'Adam 12' TV series, teamed to help nab an alleged Hollywood Hill's mail thief. Leykis told LA's CBS TV 2 "It happened at 1:30 in the afternoon in broad daylight,” he said. “The person was brazen, he had an accomplice, and he was wearing an oven mitt.” He then pulled out his smartphone and took pictures of the crime just eight feet from his house. “Literally, in one of the photos, you can see him with the oven mitt practically up to his elbow and his arm all the way in the mailbox,” he said. After calling police and posting photos on Facebook and Twitter he then reached out to his neighbor Kent McCord, who played officer Jim Reed from 1968-1975 on “Adam-12.” Conveniently, McCord happens to now head their local 'neighborhood watch team.' Hulk Hogan Passes On Stern's Offer Of Playing Peacemaker In Bubba Suit

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 19TH, 2012 –– In a story that doesn't seem to want to go away, Hulk Hogan has now passed on Howard Stern’s on-air invitation to settle invasion of privacy lawsuit against Bubba the Love Sponge. According to the New York Daily News, Hogan filed a state court lawsuit against Bubba and Heather in Florida on Monday — claiming the couple secretly filmed him having (s)ex with Heather (Clem) in the couple's canopy bed six years ago. Hogan's attorney declined an invitation from Stern to have Hogan and Bubba on his radio show so Stern could serve as peacemaker. "Absolutely not. It's not going to happen," Hogan's lawyer David Houston said. "I appreciate Howard Stern's offer. I know it has entertainment value, but this isn't entertainment. We're dealing with some drastic consequences in my client's life." According to the report, Bubba and his then wife, Heather Clem, were apparently obsessed with home surveillance. Hogan is also suing Gawker, claiming loss, anxiety, shame and damage to his reputation worth at least $100 million. Bubba joined Stern's show on Wednesday and claimed he never even reviewed the racy recording and played no role in its leak.

Cleveland Station Goes On Defensive Following Coach Saban Rumor [AUDIO]

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 19TH, 2012 –– In the age of social media, we're often reminded that words are no longer limited to the airwaves. Just ask 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland. On a recent talk show, two of their hosts were chatting and wondered aloud if the Browns couldn't attract an NFL coach, would they pursue a college coach. You know, someone like Alabama's Nick Saban, the most popular and powerful coach in college football. Well, no sooner could you chant roll tide, the social media was on fire, claiming a Cleveland Radio Station had said The Browns were pursuing the beloved coach. "It was not an official report from our station," said J.G. Spooner (shown) to a local outlet. Spooner, host of 92.3's show that had been blamed for rumor, then went on Birmingham Alabama's 97.3 The Zone to further quell the rumor. LISTEN TO INTERVIEW WITH 97.3 THE ZONE

Comedian Turned Talker, Brian Joyce, Talks Which Presidential Candidate Makes For The Best Material

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 19TH, 2012 –– While the world ponders who will win the next presidential race, in the back of some radio minds is which candidate will offer best fodder for material. In the latest issue of The Mouth, WGOW/Chattanooga's Brian Joyce, who went from stand-up to radio himself, gave us his take. On Obama he says: "He doesn’t give you much to work with. The most that anybody has on Obama is that he says “ummm” a lot, or the one time he mistakenly said he’s been to 57 states. Other than that, he reminds me a lot of Ronald Reagan – he’s a straightforward, no-nonsense guy, he’s a master communicator himself, and he doesn’t give you much to work with. Whenever there is humor to point out, he’s often the first to do it in a self-deprecating way, much like Reagan. He has control over his image; he’s not acting like a clown or a fool." And Romney? "Probably not very good," says Joyce. "He’s another guy who has a great deal of self awareness. You don’t become the CEO of Bain Capital by acting like a jackass. You’re not going to find guys like Romney and Obama flying onto air craft carriers, having (s)ex with interns, or making up words like “nukular.” They don’t make for very good comedy! Join Brian Joyce at this year's Talk Show Boot Camp in New Orleans during our special "Rising Stars" Session.

Power 106 LA's Rikki Martinez & Lupe Fiasco Swap Outer World Experiences [VIDEO]

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 19TH, 2012 –– With Halloween just an Almond Joy (our fav) away, we couldn't help but turn a ear to this week's interview with recording artist Lupe Fiasco on Power106/LA's Big Boy morning show. Fiasco claimed he was once visited by extraterrestrials when he was about eleven. He said it happened in 1993 in Chicago, Illinois, to which Big Boy quipped "Oh yeah, that happened a lot there." He recalled waking up to find himself surrounded by a “blue electricity.” He then remembered looking out the window and seeing a black disc fly down from the sky and then take off. Co-host Rikki Martinez (wonderfully shown) said she could identify with the Fiasco and shared her own tale of an extra-worldly experience. "My thing was i was lying down on the couch sleeping in the living room and it was next to the window. All of a sudden I felt like I was waking up, you know when you're getting back into consciousness and I felt a beam of light on me," Martinez said. "And I heard the hover outside. I couldn't move."
