Uber media man, Ryan Seacrest found himself on the receiving end of actor Sacha Baron Cohen's stuntage after crashing last night's Oscars in full "The Dictator" costume. There, along with guards standing at full attention (sort of), Cohen proceeds to dump an urn containing make-believe ashes of former North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il on Ryan Seacrest who was there covering the Red Carpet for E!. Cohen said it was Il’s “dream to come to the Oscars and to be sprinkled over the red carpet and over Halle Berry’s chest again.” Once he completed his mission, he was then dragged away by security. What began as way to prove that marathon running is a joke, Lunchbox, from the Premiere syndicated Bobby Bones Show, ran a full marathon on last Fridays show with no training. And to even rub it in further, he ran another mile after he finished. Lunchbox was greeted by over 200 listeners at the radio station when he finished the race. He did 26.2 miles in 4 hours and 20 minutes. News stations in over 60 cities picked up the story, including Indianapolis, Virginia Beach, Providence, and Austin. THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 27TH, 2012 –– Longtime Chicago radio host Melissa Forman's co-host, Jenne Sparrow, on WCIU's "You and Me Segment" found herself in a bit of tangle, and perhaps a tingle, too, as a boa constrictor got a little frisky with a Chicago morning show host on last Thursday's show. As you'll see in the linked video, as Sparrow talks reptiles, the huge boa apparently had other things on its mind as it plunged deep into Sparrow's upper torso traveling freely through her blouse and down her arm. Dick Purtan & WJR Team To Raise $1,733,977 For Salvation Army Radiothon

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 27TH, 2012 –– Detroit may be experiencing the hardest brunt of the recession, but factor in one of its most beloved radio icons along with powerhouse WJR and things happen. This was the case last Friday at the Oakland Mall in Troy MI, where the final tally drew nearly $1.8 million in pledges, surpassing last year's mark of just over $1.5M. And this was all in one day, broadcast live for 16 hours on WJR AM 760 in Detroit. The event featured special guest Dick Purtan along with WJR personalities Paul W. Smith, Frank Beckmann, Mitch Albom, Warren Pierce, Steve Courtney, Ken Brown, and many others. Some Purtan's former crew joined in as well, including Rebekah Rhodes and Big Al Muskavito. In its 25th year, the event has now raised over $27 million. Oh yes, according radio's best friend, Art Vuolo, Mr. Purtan shaved off his patented mustache for a donation, along with making a personal donation of $50,000.

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 24TH, 2012 –– As Jockline Daily told you a couple of weeks back, uber Hollywood Dad, Michael Lohan was seeking, through court-ordered counseling, a job to help his transition back into normal functioning society. He was ordered to complete this treatment as part of his plea deal in a domestic violence case. After K,V & J heard that Lohan had applied for a job at Burger King, they called and offered him at least 50 cents more an hour than what BK had. Well yesterday he apparently couldn't pass up the big bucks and took the show up on its offer. He won't necessarily appear regularly on the show, but will provide them and the station with various tasks. Among the first is a daily blog. Yesterday he wrote: OMG!!!! Phoenix Host Bows Out Of Catholic Event After Being Questioned Over Gay Support

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 24TH, 2012 –– Longtime 99.9 KEZ Phoenix morning co-host Beth McDonald is making headlines in Phoenix, but not in your typical radio fashion. This one involves her support of a gay pride parade and subsequent stepping down as emcee of a Catholic Community Foundation dinner. McDonald, an outspoken Catholic and gay rights supporter, was questioned by the Catholic foundation over concerns of what her role would be in the gay parade. According to myfoxphoenix, Beth told the group: “Why should we marginalize a community? It’s a human rights issue, it’s a civil rights issue.” Beth had been asked by Gay Pride Phoenix to be the grand marshal of their parade, but due to prior commitments couldn't participate. THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 24TH, 2012 –– When you think of all the great impersonators of our time, none comes to mind more quickly than Kevin Pollak. Surprisingly, for a stand-up comic, he's done over 60 films. He tell's Salt Lake City's Frankie and DB Show on 'ZHT "I can't think of an exact number.... 66!!," quips Pollak. As for his impressive number of film appearances he's still dumbfounded: "I keep waiting for someone to come up to me and say "Oh, we meant Kevin Spacey." Of course, if you have Kevin as an in-studio guest, the subject always comes back to his impersonations. Among his most famous is that of William Shatner, aka Captain Kirk of the U.S.S Enterprise. He tells Frankie and company about his first meeting with Shatner: "For an idiot who does voices, this is as crazy as it gets," joked Pollak. He says he got a call from the former Captain asking him to come over and help him with a chapter in his book "Trekkies, get a life." He does a chapter in the book which explains how to do the consumnate Capt. Kirk impersonation. Going into character he says "Ah ah... it's funny ... YES. He thought it was funny, YES." Pollak then asked if they had ever interviewed the eccentric actor Christopher Walken? When they said no, he quickly said "Well here's your chance." And they began to interview a make believe Walken. While not a singer herself, the plan was for Good to lip sync over Houston's music. According to theboombox.com, Good told E! "We were fairly in the beginning stages and were supposed to meet on Feb. 20. Obviously, with the singer's unexpected passing, the project's fate is unknown. That said, you have believe Whitney's life, success and struggles would make for an amazing film. And who else might play its characters best on film? Outside of Meagan (shown left), you could pick Albert Brooks (left/center). With the right hair could be a deadringer for Clive Davis.
