Limbaugh Bomb Scare Turns Out To Be Business Proposal [VIDEO] Limbaugh Calls It A Non Story THE MOUTH, MARCH 2ND, 2012 –– As it turned out, the mysterious package left at mega talker Rush Limbaugh's Palm Beach home that brought out the bomb squad yesterday ended up being nothing more than a business proposal from a Pittsburgh man. According to WPBF 25 , after Limbaugh's scanning device showed what appeared to be wires in the package, police were called in. Upon further inspection they were surprised to find it marked with a return address. After contacting the sender they learned it was simply a business proposal and the man was deeply apologetic for causing such alarm. He told police he was hoping to go into business with Limbaugh in some sort of Abraham Lincoln related project. Reportedly, he meant it in goodwill and did not intend for this to happen. Police said they don't expect any charges to be filed against the sender. Limbaugh called the whole matter a non-event. Photo: Screen grab in front of Limbaugh's residence. WATCH VIDEO HERE

Putting Twitter In Your Prep: Winan's Says Using Lists Is Key THE MOUTH, MARCH 2ND, 2012 –– When it comes to show prep, Social Media Maven, Stephanie Winans of The Randy Lane Company is bullish on Twitter and tells Jockline Daily there 5 quick ways to make the most out of the platform. "While Twitter provides a personal way to connect with listeners, it’s also a great resource for show content," says Winan. Her first tip: USE LISTS: Create Twitter Lists to organize the accounts you follow and use for show prep. That way if you're looking for a specific type of content, you can view only the accounts that you've listed under that category (for example, “entertainment news,” “news” or “parenting”). 2. USE FAVORITES: When viewing your Twitter stream, use favorites to bookmark a tweet for later reading. If you see a tweet you want to come back to, click the star icon. The star will turn from grey to yellow, and you will be able to view it in your favorites, located on the left side of your Twitter profile page. 3. FOLLOW LOCAL SOURCES: Add local news stations, broadcasters, newspapers, and magazines for tweets about what’s going on in your market. 4. FOLLOW OTHER STATIONS/SHOWS: Follow stations and shows you admire for topic and promotion ideas. Keep your eye on successful shows that produce strong content. You might learn from them, and often their ideas will jumpstart your creativity. 5. FOLLOW ARTISTS: Follow the artists you play on the station, so you can share the latest music news, retweet interesting celeb tweets, and connect with artists who come to your market. The regulator received complaints about the broadcasts of offending tracks by Foo Fighters and the Rolling Stones last autumn. Ofcom was alerted to the broadcast on 25 October 2011 of the song ‘Word Forward’ by the Foo Fighters which twice included the lyric “they’re just fucking words”. A second complainant alerted Ofcom to the broadcast on 23 November 2011 of the track ‘Some Girls’ by the Rolling Stones, which contained the lyric: “…black girls want to get f***ed all night…”. The first was aired at 9.17am on a Tuesday, while the second was around 7pm on a Wednesday. Following the complaints, Planet Rock says it has now introduced a new compliance procedure which means that two members of staff have to check a song before it can be broadcast and there’s a daily check to approve songs for broadcast.
