Fortunately, this had little to do with the conversation, but rather the reporter getting up ar 4:35 am on the west coast with little sleep reports mediaite.com
Davis asked Weigel about something he had retweeted the previous day, but Weigel was caught snoring. “Dave?” Davis asked after a long silence. Weigel awakes slowly. “Hi, did you catch the last question?” Davis asked. “I did, yeah,” responded Weigel, although sounding unsure. “Weigel tried to explain, “I’m in a place where I can’t hear very well.” Later on an Instagram post Weigel passed along a statement to Mediaite apologizing to listeners and explaining that he was doing the interview while on the campaign trail in Oregon, a three-hour difference. "I apologize to the show’s producers and listeners — if I didn’t like the Hugh Hewitt show so much I’d have said “Ugh, 4:35 AM interview, no way!” In my head, I was able to wake up for 5 minutes and do the interview before getting another few hours of sleep. SiriusXM Q1 Revenue Climbs 11% to $1.2 Billion, New Record
THE MOUTH, APRIL 28TH, 2016 –– SiriusXM has announced it first quarter results and shows revenue climbing 11% to $1.2 Billion, a quarterly record - net Income rises 62% to $171 Million. Adjusted EBITDA in the first quarter of 2016 was $441 million, an 11% increase from $399 million in the first quarter of 2015.
"SiriusXM's results exceeded our expectations in the first quarter, and I'm especially pleased we were able to add 465,000 net new subscribers, leading to an 8% increase in subscribers over the prior year. With excellent subscriber growth so early in the year, we are raising our guidance for full year net subscriber additions to 1.6 million. We set first quarter records for revenue, adjusted EBITDA, and free cash flow, and we are on track to achieve all of our financial goals this year," noted Jim Meyer, Chief Executive Officer, SiriusXM.
Last December, SiriusXM inked a new long-term extension with Howard Stern, part of a 12-year agreement which allows SiriusXM the use of Stern's audio and video content. More Trouble for Chris Evans - Top Gear host Chris Evans from Radio 2 has been branded 'worse than' his predecessor Jeremy Clarkson. Clarkson was fired from the series for punching a producer. According to the Daily Mirror, some believe his replacement is even more difficult to work with. Despite the fact that his first series of hosting the long-running motoring show is yet to air, Chris has allegedly already been lashing out at staff. Most recently, it's reported he lost his temper with a member of the Top Gear crew so viciously that an engineer had to step in and tell him to stop. Industry insiders have claimed that the presenter has been struggling to balance his time between the motoring series and his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show. In addition to reportedly falling out with crew members, Chris is believed to have also clashed with co-star Matt LeBlanc.
Sir Paul McCartney on BBC Radio 4 show ‘Mastertapes’ Paul will talk to host John Wilson about his music career and answer questions from the audience at the BBC's Maida Vale studios on Wednesday May 11. The hour-long special edition of the programme will broadcast on BBC Radio 4 at 10am on Saturday May 28, and a version will be filmed for BBC iPlayer.
