The station continued to broadcast on it’s other two FM frequencies from other transmitters, stayed streaming online and on DAB (Britain’s HD Radio).

GOLDSTEIN: The Power of Audio In The Spotlight During Advertising Week

7

THE MOUTH, SEPTEMBER 27TH, 2017 –– Amplifi's Steve Goldstein blogs from Advertising Week, a large four-day event with nearly 100,000 attendees so big it takes place in over thirty venues all over New York and covers marketing from angles ranging from programatic to brand building to how to market to Gen Z. Goldstein adds that the session called "Gen Z Doesn't Care About Your Brand." A reminder that advertising has significant challenges connecting with an ever-changing mix of media and platforms.

Tuesday included The Power of Audio Summit, a three hour block with 4 sessions devoted exclusively to podcasting. It was a well attended series that focused on the rapid growth of podcasting, monetization strategies and some star power with ABC Radio bringing Robin Roberts and Rebecca Jarvis to showcase their podcasts. Podcasting certainly is having its moment, says Goldstein. It's hailed for innovative content, its youthful demos, low commercial load environment that defies ad blockers and DVR forwarding along with effective host read ads. But how were the radio sessions? Of the over 270 sessions, there weren't any that I could find. SWAAY: Kelly Ford Is Country Music’s Queen of Broadcasting

THE MOUTH, SEPTEMBER 27TH, 2017 ––Alexandra Anastasiohe declares NASH Radio's Kelly Ford as Country Music's Queen of Broadcasting in a recent spread in SWAAY. After planting roots in Nashville a 7year ago she joins each morning with Ty Bentli and Chuck Wicks for their nationally syndicated morning show, Ty, Kelly and Chuck on Nash 94.7 FM. Anastasiohe says, "Despite the fact the country music industry has been portrayed as mostly male-dominated, that hasn’t stopped Ford from moving forward and continuing the conversation.

SWAAY sat down with with Ford to talk all things country, including the emergence of women in the industry, how social media has changed the game, along with some favorite spots in her colorful city. When asked if she thought it was harder to make a name for yourself as a radio host, she says, "I have never been one to dwell on it, I’ve just forged ahead. Clearly, the playing field is not equal and has largely been a male-dominated industry for a while but I believe that’s slowly changing. I think in a genre like this, it’s reflecting society, and the roles of men and women are changing." READ ENTIRE ARTICLE HERE
